The Chinese Society of Rare Earth is Studying The Feasibility of Marketing Rare Earth Futures

Lin Donglu, secretary-general of the Chinese Society of Rare Earth recently said, the Chinese Society of Rare Earth undertook the research on subject of the National Social Science Fund Foundation on the reform of Chinese rare earth trading pricing mechanism on promoting RMB globalization, and is focusing on studying the feasibility of marketing rare earth futures variety.

www.aastocks.com learned the above news at the First Rare Earth Product Investment Summit 2015 on May 24 held by the Rare Earth Product Trading Center of South Rare Precious Metals Exchange. It has been learned that this subject is a key subject of social science category, and has been formally set up as project in November 2014, up till now it has communicated with and surveyed Shanghai Futures Exchange, Shanghai Stock Exchange and other institutions, but since there are many rare earth elements, the entire research is relatively complicated, the design and research duration will last three years.

Currently in China Baotou Rare Earth Product Exchange, South Rare Precious Metals Exchange Rare Earth Products Trading Center, Bohai Commodity Exchange are all trading rare earth product spot goods and electronic disk, all of them are exploring new ways of rare earth products trading.

According to industry insiders, though China is located at the topmost upstream of rare earth resources, it has not acquired the rare earth pricing right, after a series of policy adjustment including big group integration, plus research of rare earth financial products, it is expected to strengthen China’s rare earth pricing right.
