The meeting listened to the “Grasp the Opportunity to Vigorously Develop Chinalco Chemical Alumina Industry” special topic report by Chinalco Science and Technology Management Department, and the “Chinalco Red Mud Integrated Utilization Survey Report” by the Enterprise Management Department, Zhengzhou Research Institute and Chinalco Shandong Co., Ltd respectively reported their own experience and achievements in chemical alumina and red mud integrated utilization aspects.

After earnestly listening to speeches by meeting attendants, Ge Honglin pointed out, since the beginning of this year, Chinalco successively convened aluminum alloying, logistics work, carbon quality improvement and cost reduction special topic meetings, the work thinking approach is to grasp some key fields and steps restricting loss-reverse and poverty extrication, and wage several tough battles. Thirdly, it is necessary to seek pair-up development. Encourage enterprises to contact laterally, for interactive cooperation, and mutual development. Meanwhile, technology support and promotion application must also reflect the value of intellectual property rights, continually explore ways such as interest division or shareholding cooperation. Fourthly, it is necessary to focus on problems. All enterprises can put forward key technologies and generic technologies needing collective strength for problem tackling by the headquarters, the headquarters will properly select subjects and set up projects, make arrangement and deployment based on order of priority, it is imperative to fully bring out the role of Zhengzhou Research Institute. Fifthly, make top planning.
