备课背景

九年级下学期的大部分时间是用在复习所学过的知识并予以总结归类。在五月份英语口语考试前的一次口语训练中,我发现同学们对于话题中的人物是出了什么状况还会回答,但是对于这些状况应该给出什么样的建议予以解决却显得手足无措。口语考试一般难度不会太深,所以但是只是简单的花了五六分钟给同学们复习总结了一下。后来又在同学们写作的过程中发现他们在给别人建议时,所以的句型都是千篇一律的“should,can”之类的“初级”句型,而忘了他们其实学了很多可以给建议的句型:

Youd better…

Why dont you…?

Why not…?

How about…?

What about…?

You are supposed to…

If I were you, I would…

如果在给建议时能用上几个而不是一个单一的句型,那么文章就不会看起来单一苍白了。考虑到中考作文主题是“解决困扰麻烦”的可能性还是比较大的,所以我觉得很有必要给同学们上这一个《麻烦和建议》话题的复习课。

教学目标

By the end of the session, most Ss will be able to: 1) ask questions about problems.2) give advice to different problems.3) use different sentences structures to give advice.These will be achieved by:

a)Show the pictures of different problems.At last Ss can know what problems they are and how to solve them.

b)Show different situations, students talk about them, at last students can make dialogues of problem solving.

c)Review different sentence structures of how to give advice,at last students can use them freely.

d)Students will write a letter to someone who needs help.
