1. in terms of

3. cut up

切碎；剪碎

6. sob

啜泣（声）；抽噎（声）

I heard her sobbing in the room. 我听到她在房间里啜泣。

sob， weep， cry 这三个动词都有“哭泣”之意。

sob 指因伤心、恐惧等而“泣不成声；啜泣；呜咽”。

weep 较为正式，通常指因为悲伤而“哭泣；流泪”。

cry 为最通俗用词，指因伤心、疼痛等而“哭泣”；一般多强调哭出声来。

He couldnt help weeping at her death. 听到她去世的消息，他不禁伤心地流泪了。
