话说端午节和屈原

Dragon-boat Festival also called the Duanwu Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar. For thousands of years, the festival has been marked by eating Zong Zi and racing dragon-boats. To hold the dragon-boat races is in memory of Qu Yuan, one of the greatest poets in China.

Qu Yuan was born in Zigui of Hubei Province over 2,200 years ago. Qu Yuan was an honest minister of the State of Chu, during the Warring States Period(475-221BC). He was upright and wise. He wanted to bring his country peace and make the State stronger and stronger, but the country was in the hands of bad officials, so he failed. At last, he was very discouraged. He himself threw into the Miluo River and ended his life .It is said that many people jumped into the river and tried to save him. But it was too late. They were very sad and they threw rice into the water to promote Qu Yuans spirit.

Now we read his poem Li Sao which was filled with deep love for his country. We can hold the dragon-boat races and eat Zong Zi during the Dragon boat Festival, learn from Qu Yuans good qualities of loving our motherland. We should remember what President Xi Jinping said at the moment, make our country richer and stronger and work hard to achieve Dream of China.

端午节也叫粽子节，它是根据中国的历法在每年五月的第五天举行庆祝活动。千百年来，这个节日以吃粽子和赛龙舟来纪念中国最伟大的诗人屈原。

屈原，约2200多年前出生在湖北省秭归县。他是战国时期（公元前475-221）楚国的一位生性秉直的大臣。他正直而睿智，希望使他的国家能够和平强大。但国家的权力却掌握在一批庸官的手中，因此，他失败了。他很失望，于是就跳进了汨罗江，结束了他的生命。据说当时有很多人跳入河中并试图挽救他的生命，但是已经太晚了。人们非常伤心，他们把大米投到河里来弘扬屈原的爱国精神。

今天，我们聆诵他的诗歌《离骚》，被他对祖国的爱深深感动，因而人们在端午节这天吃粽子、赛龙舟来怀念屈原。此刻，我们应该牢记习主席的谆谆教诲，努力学好各门功课，强健体魄，为祖国的富强和实现中国梦而努力奋斗。
