Spixs Macaws （斯皮克斯蓝金刚鹦鹉） Blu， Jewel and their three kids leave their domesticated （被驯养了的） life in the city of Rio de Janeiro for a journey to the Amazon rainforest （亚马逊热带雨林）. Upon arrival， the family comes across （偶然碰到） Jewels long-lost father， in hiding with a group of other Spixs Macaws. They realize that their Amazonian habitat （栖息地） is in danger and that Blu and Jewels old enemy Nigel the cockatoo （凤头鹦鹉） is returning for revenge.
