浅谈如何提高高中学生英语书面表达能力

  摘要:近年来,提高学生英语书面表达在整个高中英语教学中占有十分重要的位置,提高高中学生的英语写作能力成为当前高中英语教学的重点和难点。本文作者结合自己的教学经验,从四个方面谈了提高学生英语书面表达能力的途径。
  关键词:高中英语;书面表达能力
  英语书面表达能力是学生英语综合能力的一种体现。通过英语写作训练,可以培养学生丰富的想象力,逻辑思维能力和语言组织能力,也能比较客观地反映学生的语言运用能力。因此,提高学生英语书面表达在整个高中英语教学中占有十分重要的位置,而且,近年来高考英语对书面表达的要求呈逐步提高的趋势。近几年高考英语书面表达的分值为30分,题型比较灵活,有记叙文、议论文和说明文。写作内容贴近学生生活,但很多考生对英语书面表达仍是望而生畏。在这个方面丢分甚多,因此,提高高中学生的英语写作能力成为当前高中英语教学的重点和难点。那么,英语教师怎样去突破这个重点和难点呢?下面就根据自己的教学经验谈谈粗浅的看法。
  一、重视词汇的积累
  培养学生分音节来记单词,注意音形义的结合;运用构词法知识判断和记忆派生词及合成词的才词义和词类,用比较和归类的方法学习和记忆单词。例如,比较同形异义词、同音异形词、同形异音词;比较同义词、近义词和反义词;按词义、词性、发音、构词法等归类,成串记忆单词比单个记忆单词效率要高;利用图片、视频实物的直观效果帮助学生记忆单词;组织学习短语、固定搭配、习惯用语和句型;学会使用词典,从词典中找到词义、读音、词形变化、用法、词义辨析等;大量阅读,通过泛读不断复习一直词语,吸收新词,扩大词汇量。 二、重视语感的培养语言学习都是相通的,语文学习要求学生背诵大量的名言、名句、名篇,英语学习也应如此。要求学生对每一单元的精读课文都要背诵,对有些学困生来说,也应尽力背诵某一段,或者能流利的读完一篇课文,这样,可以培养学生的英语语感,将汉语句式和英语句式作比较 ,学习别人的方法,最后变成自己的学习方法,不断提高自己的英语水平。
  二、重视语言的训练
  从句子开始练习写作, 其次是段落联系,接着是篇章练习。Eg: 1 nowadays,more and more families have bought car。
  2 He would rather work than have a rest at home.
  3 I live an apartment, whose window faces the south.
  4 It a difficult task for many people to lean a foreign language well.
  5 On hearing the excting news, she burst into langhter.
  6 His words suggested that he didn't agree to our advice.
  7 He is far from being a big talker.8 I can't accustom myself to being treated like that.
  9 He wished to go to college.
  10 Not until he lost all wealth did he wake up to the fact he was cheated.
  11 The woman dressed in a red sweater is our English teacher.
  12 The woman dressing herself in a red sweater is our English teacher.
  13 What surprised me was that he got full marks this time.
  14 China is no longer what it used to be 30 years ago.
  15 Whether we will succeed depends on whether we work hard or not.
  Eg2: I like surfing on the internet very much. Nowadays, the internet has affected our daily life widely. We can read news, do shopping, and get all kinds of information form it. How about you? Will you have a try?
  Eg3: I watched the famous film “TITANIC”, and was deeply moved by it. Today, I was lucky to have the chance to watch it again on TV. I think of the inspiring words of Jack.
  “Life is a gift.”
  Yes, each one is given a life only once, so life is a gift to everyone. We should enjoy our lives.
  Youth is the most precious part of the gift. So we shouldn't idle away the golden age by leading a dissolute life.
  We should follow the example of Lei Feng, who displayed the spirit of nail-snatching at every minute to make each day valuable.
  三、强调科学的批改和讲评方法
  教师的评改对学生写作水平的提高也有很大影响,教师的评改要及时,也需要技巧。对普遍出现的问题要在课堂上讲解、分析、讨论来加以解决;个别问题则要以面批或让学生互评方式解决。采取当面批改作文与小组批改作文相结合的教学方法,对书面表达错词错句非常多的学生,要面批作文,指出错误,逐词逐句纠错;对一般的作文,要求学生四人一组互相批改,互相学习。
  总之,作为高中英语教师,我们不能离开教材,盲目地去提高学生的书面表达能力。只有立足课本,充分利用课堂教学的时机,指导学生欣赏语言,学以致用;通过课堂活动,发展学生的思维力度,才能真正帮助学生提高英语的书面表达能力。
