乔布斯,一个时代的巨人走了

编者注：两个有名的苹果，一个“砸”出了万有引力定律；一个被史蒂夫·乔布斯玩得魅力四射，吸引玩家无数，正是这样一位被业界评价为“创造天才”的人物，在与癌症抗争数年后，于2011年10月5日辞世，年仅56岁。

Steve Jobs’s father Abdulfattah John Jandali and his mother Joanne Simpson fell in love with each other when they studied in the University of Wisconsin (威斯康辛大学).Later,Simpson waspregnant(怀孕的)but she wasunmarried (未婚的).Jandali wanted to marry her.But because Jandali was aSyrian(叙利亚人),Simpson’s father was against it.

史蒂夫·乔布斯的父亲阿卜杜拉法塔赫·约翰·詹达利与他的母亲乔安妮·辛普森在威斯康辛大学读书时相恋。后来辛普森未婚怀孕，詹达利虽然希望和她结婚，但因为他是叙利亚人，遭到辛普森父亲的反对。

On February 24th,1955,Steve Jobs was born.And then Simpson moved to San Francisco and sent Jobs to Paul Jobs and Clara.Jobs’sfoster parents (养父母)were bluecollar workers in California.They were very kind to him,so Jobs received good education.

1955年2 月24日，史蒂夫·乔布斯出生了。之后，辛普森搬到旧金山，将乔布斯送给了保罗·乔布斯和克莱拉。乔布斯的养父母是加州蓝领工人，他们夫妇对乔布斯不错，令乔布斯能够接受到良好的教育。

In 1976,21-year-old Steve Jobs and 26-year-old Stephen Wozniak established the Apple in hisgarage(车库).They made the first personal computer in the world named Apple I.It was sold at the price of$666.66.In 1983,Apple grew bigger and bigger,and Jobs invited John Sculley of Pepsi to be the CEO of Apple.But in 1985,Sculley drove away Jobs from Apple.After leaving Apple,Jobs established NeXT Computer Company.

1976年，21岁的乔布斯与26岁的斯蒂夫·沃兹尼亚克在自家的车库里成立了苹果公司。他们制造了世界上首台个人电脑，并称为Apple I，售价666.66美元。1983年，苹果公司的业务越做越大，乔布斯邀请百事可乐公司的约翰·斯库利出任苹果公司总裁。但是，1985年，斯库利把乔布斯赶出了苹果公司。离开苹果后，乔布斯创立了NeXT电脑公司。

In 1986,Jobs establishedPixar Animation Studios(皮克斯动画工作室).In 2006,Pixar Animation Studios was bought by Disney,and Jobs became the largestshareholder(股东)of Disney.In 1996,Jobs returned to Apple and regain the power of Apple the next year.On August 24th,2011,Jobs resigned as the CEO of Apple.And he died because of thecancer of pancreas（胰腺癌）on October 5th,2011.

1986年，乔布斯成立了皮克斯动画工作室。皮克斯公司于2006年被迪士尼收购，乔布斯也因此成为迪士尼最大的股东。1996年，乔布斯回到了苹果，并于1997年重掌苹果大权。2011年8月24日，乔布斯辞去苹果公司总裁一职。2011年10月5日因胰腺癌逝世。

Jobs did very well in his career.What kind of man was he in daily life?In fact,when Jobs grew up,he always wanted to know who hisnatural parents(亲生父母)were.When he knew that he had a younger sister,Mona Simpson,he was very happy.Jobs said,“We are of the same family.She is one of my best friends in the world.I call her every few days.”

乔布斯在事业上很出色，那么他在生活中又是怎样的一个人呢？其实乔布斯长大后，一直想知道他的亲生父母是谁。当他获知自己还有一个妹妹莫娜·辛普森时，他非常高兴。乔布斯说：“我们是一家人，她是我在世界上最好的朋友之一。我每隔几天会给她打电话聊天。”

However,Jobs was not so kind to his natural father.Jobs’s father,Jandali,was 80 years old.He was the vice-president of a casino(赌场)hotel in Reno,Nevada State.

然而，对自己的生父，乔布斯却并不热情。乔布斯的生父詹达利现年80岁，是内华达州里诺一家赌场酒店副总裁。

Knowing that his son had become the CEO of Apple,Jandali sent e-mails to him several times,but Jobs neverreplied(回复).He hoped that Jobs could call him but he was afraid of calling his son.Jandali worried that Jobs would think he called him because of his money.Jandali said that he always wanted to see his son.Even drinking a cup of coffee with his son would make him comfortable.But this would not come true forever.

得知儿子成为苹果公司总裁后，詹达利数次发送电子邮件给乔布斯，但从未得到回复。他既希望乔布斯能打电话过来，又害怕主动致电儿子。詹达利担心，那样做会让乔布斯认为自己是看上了他的钱。詹达利说，他总想找机会与儿子见上一面，哪怕只是一起喝杯咖啡，都会让他感到欣慰。只是，詹达利的这一心愿永远也不能实现了。
