伞的发明故事

It’s said that the umbrella was invented by Ancient Chinese.据说雨伞是我国古人发明的。

Allegedly,in the Spring and Autumn period,the famous craftsman Luban often worked in field.据说，在春秋末年，我国古代的著名工匠鲁班常在野外工作。

One day,Luban was walking on the road.Suddenly,the clouds gathered and it poured down.一天，鲁班正在路上走着。突然，天空乌云密布，下起了倾盆大雨。

He ran to the pavilion nearby.It rained and rained.He was so anxious in the pavilion,wondering:What can I do?他赶紧跑到旁边的一个亭子里躲雨。雨铺天盖地下个不停。他在亭子里十分着急，心想：这可怎么办啊？

He wandered in the pavilion and suddenly it occurred to him that if he could lift the pavilion,he would never be afraid of the rain.That would be wonderful!他在亭子里走来走去，突然有了一个好主意：要是能把亭子举着走，就再也不怕下雨了。那该多好啊！

After he came back home,he had the bamboo chopped into branches and then covered them with animal’s skin,looking like“pavilion”,and it could be put into a stick.A movable pavilion was invented—the first umbrella in the world!他回家仔细研究，把竹子劈成细条，在细条上蒙上兽皮，样子很像“亭子”，而且收拢就成了棒状。移动的亭子就这样发明了——世界上第一把雨伞。
