Music

I am a classical music fan, have been learning to play the piano for more than ten years. It will never make you regret to learn a kind of musical instrument and practise it to some degree. While playing music, I got closer and closer to the spirit of it. The pieces you listen to reflect the mood of the musician, while the songs you play out yourself can convey1 the exact meaning from the deep of your heart. Not only will you intoxicate2 yourself in the melody3, but also make others understand and moved by your vivid sense. Through music, two or three more true souls are able to sit face to face and exchange their minds without difficulty. Music is a special sort of language that everyone on the earth could understand.

Looking back to the years of practising the piano, I feel lucky as I have managed to gain such a precious skill. It's not simply black and white keys, not simply music notes, not just Mozart and Chopin. They used to be in my heart. But now I find them manageable and can use them the way I like. Now I can share my heart with my friends in music.

Imagination and Hard Work

In the world, there are lots of scientific inventions. They have made our dreams true. A look at them helps us to realize how important it is to have dreams and imaginations.

Newton's1 theory comes from the imagination far back in human history. His Theory of Gravity2 is a realization of imagination. It is true that without imagination,many of the discoveries or inventions will never come out.Man makes progress,because he is able to imagine. The progress is possible because of the expectation in mind.

On the other hand, imagination is useful, only if it is turned into practice. We cannot be expected to stay there and imagine all day, doing nothing. The hard labor is essential. Without hard work,imagination is nothing.Now we have satellites sent into space. It is the result of imagination of course. But more important thing is the hard work behind it.

So if we work hard, we can be expected to make achievements, and turn our dreams into realities.

English Grammar

English grammar is hard to learn. I often hear our classmates say such words. Some say that he is not good at English because he is too bad at grammar. It is very important to learn English grammar.In my view1 English grammar is not difficult if you have developed the proper way to learn it.

Grammar is a set of rules of the language. So you must learn the rules by learning language first. I begin to learn English at a very early age because mother is a teacher.At that time I was only 5-year-old. I remember mother taught me a lot of songs. They were interesting and easy to learn. In my memory mother taught me no rules to follow. She only asked me to memorize and repeat. In this way I learned a lot how to say things and how to express myself. It is no hard job at all.

Now when I ask mother about grammar. My mother says that grammar should be learned in the language. It is not a good way to memorize those rules without a language context. The way we talk in Chinese is exactly2 the same. We speak and write according to certain rules, but we use the rule rather than memorize them all the time. It has become a part of our language.

Language is a very interesting thing. I enjoy learning because it is fun to speak and write or read English. At home mother have bought me a lot of books on English. I have learned more and more things about English. It opens up a new world to me. I come to know about the countries and people who speak English. It is my ambition that in future I become a translator3.
