上海市是中国第一大城市，也是中国经济、金融、贸易和航运中心。上海市作为一座新兴的旅游城市，它具有深厚的近代城市文化底蕴和众多的历史古迹。今日的上海已经发展成为一个国际化大都市。2010年世界博览会正在上海举办。下面我们来逛一逛上海市……

The City God Temple in Shanghai is located in the bustling tourist area.It was built during the Yongle era of Ming Dynasty.It has a history of over 600 years.Shanghai’s Town God’s Temple is a large retail and entertainment district.

上海老城隍庙坐落于上海市最为繁华的城隍庙旅游区，是上海地区重要的道教宫观，始建于明代永乐年间（1403-1424），距今已有近六百年的历史。如今城隍庙是小商品批发和娱乐中心。

The Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower,which can be seen from far away,is 468 meters tall.It’s the tallest TV tower in Asia and the third tallest in the world.From the TV tower,we can get a clear view of the whole city.Its construction was started in 1991 and completed in 1994.Soon after that,it was opened to the public.Now it has become the centre of culture,entertainment and tourism in the city of Shanghai.

东方明珠塔高为468米，是亚洲第一高塔，在世界排名第三。登塔远眺，整座城市清晰可觅。塔始建于1991年，1994年建成，不久对外开放。如今它已成为上海文化、娱乐、旅游中心。

Yu Garden has a history of more than 400 years.It is the biggestJiang Nan Style Garden(江南园林)in Shanghai.Yu Garden was built in the year 1559,during theMing Dynasty(明朝)by a Si Chuan OfficialPan Yun Duan(潘允端).It was his private garden and was built for his parents. “Yu(豫)” has the meaning of peaceful and safe.It has been visited by numerous Chinese and foreigners including British Queen ElizabethⅡ,Former American President Bill Clinton,Former Japan Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and Former German President Roman Herzog.

豫园有着400多年的历史。它是上海最大的江南园林。豫园始建于1559年，由民代四川都督潘允端修建。这是他为他的父母修建的私人花园，“豫”的意思是和平和安全的。来自世界各地的海内外游客参观豫园，包括英国的伊丽莎白二世，前美国总统比尔克林顿，前日本首相小泉纯一郎和前德国总统罗曼·赫尔佐克等。

The Bund,1.5 kilometers long,is located by the riverside of Huangpu River in the central Shanghai.It is the landscape of Shanghai,which very tourist to Shanghai will never miss.It faces Huangpu River to the east,and to the west,there are 52 tall buildings with the different styles of Gothic,Roman,Baroque,East meeting West style,which is named“International Architecture Exhibition Group”.

外滩，全长约1.5公里,位于上海市中心区的黄浦江畔，它是上海的风景线，是到上海观光的游客必到之地。外滩东临黄浦江，西面为哥特式、罗马式、巴洛克式、中西合壁式等52幢风格各异的大楼，被称为“万国建筑博览群”。

本帮菜Local Cuisine

上海人称的本帮菜指的是上海本地风味的菜肴，特色可用浓油赤酱（油多味浓、糖重、色艳）概括。常用的烹调方法以红烧、煨、糖为主，口味咸中带甜，油而不腻。
