Understanding Chinese Modernization Book Series (Chinese-English Edition) Was Released in Guangzhou

On the evening of December 3， the “Understanding China” International Conference (Guangzhou) hosted its “Guangzhou Night” event at the Canton Tower. During the event， the Chinese-English edition of the book series Understanding Chinese Modernization， published by Renmin University of China Press (RUC Press)， was officially unveiled. The release ceremony was jointly presided over by Wang Boyong， vice president and secretary-general of the China Institute for Innovation and Development Strategy (CIIDS)， and Li Yongqiang， party secretary and chairman of RUC Press.

The Understanding Chinese Modernization series， meticulously curated by RUC Press in collaboration with the CIIDS， focuses on the theory and practice of Chinese modernization. It serves as a significant component of the “Understanding China” brand. The first batch of six landmark works includes: Understanding China: The Key is Understanding Chinese Modernization， The Path of Chinese Modernization， Chinese Modernization: Strategy and Pathways， The Communist Party of China and Chinese Modernization， New Drivers of China’s Economic Development， and Comprehensively Enhancing the Effectiveness of Understanding China: Systematic Construction and Discourse Innovation. Among them， Understanding China: The Key is Understanding Chinese Modernization has been selected as a key thematic publication project by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China for 2024.

The series addresses major theoretical and practical issues of Chinese modernization while presenting vivid stories and historic achievements of this process to both domestic and international readers. It is a collection of works that combines timeliness， theoretical depth， and readability. As a leading force in publishing research on Chinese modernization and a pioneer in the internationalization of Chinese publications， RUC Press is actively preparing multilingual editions of the series.
