Contemporary China is a continuation of ancient China. To embrace the future, we must draw wisdom from the past through in-depth reflection on
history. The Chinese Academy of History (CAH), located on the north extention of Beijings Central Axis, is a national history research institution under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Founded on January 3, 2019, its duties include guiding Chinas history research, formulating plans for the studies of Chinese history in the new era, and organizing and implementing key national academic projects regarding history, among others.
Over the past five years, CAH has opened the Chinese Archaeological Museum and committed to displaying and disseminating fine traditional Chinese culture and piecing together stories about long-standing and splendid Chinese civilization based on unearthed cultural relics and rare ancient books and documents. Its expert team is dedicated to studying history and compiling books to inspire and educate the public with ancient wisdom and traditional culture to write a new chapter of history research based on fruitful academic achievements. Many academic lectures, books, and TV programs presented by CAH have provided profound insights on history for countless ordinary people.
The only way to create a better future is through tracing the origins of our history and culture. CAH is drawing wisdom from 5,000-year-old Chinese civilization to meet the demands of contemporary times and stay ahead of future trends with an eye on writing a brilliant chapter of history research in the new era.
