Currently,the textile industry in China has pro—gressed to a high—quality stage.Demand for equipment at varying levels,including continuity,automation,in—telligence,sustainability,and personalization,is on the rise.The textile industry in region like Southeast Asia is also embracing intelligent development and energy—saving,reducing emissions,streamlining workforce,and enhancing productivity.The principal duty of the textile machinery sector is to innovate continually and satisfy the transformation and upgrading requirements of the textile industry using modern technologies,novel products,and new services.

The deferred ITMA ASIA+CITME 2022 will recom—mence at the National Convention and Exhibition Center(Shanghai) from November 19 to 23.This is the first joint Asian exhibition following ITMA 2023,and it carries a lot of expectations and responsibility from exhibitors and audiences.What new developments can we expect from this exhibition? How should we perceive the role of ITMA ASIA+CITME? China Textile interviewed Gu Ping,president of China Textile Machinery Association.

CHINA TEXTILE: What are your views on the current situation and future direction of the textile machinery industry? How do these emerging trends impact on textile machinery enterprises?

Gu Ping:In recent years,the quality and quantity of textile machinery products have been improved from machine to production lines,and six intelligent production lines have been launched,including spin—ning,polyester filament,knitting,printing and dyeing,non—woven fabrics and garment.At the same time,the application of new technologies such as 5G,AI,internet plus and big data in the design,production,marketing and logistics of textile industry not only promotes the transformation of production mode,but also promotes the high—quality development of textile machinery industry,making enterprises more dynamic and com—petitive.

The textile machinery industry bears a social re—sponsibility for protecting the environment through eco—friendly,energy—efficient and low—emission prac—tices.In addition,it must explore innovative growth path that enhance the industry's overall development.Advanced textile equipment plays a crucial role in driv—ing high—quality outcomes for the textile industry.Sci—entific and technological innovation,intelligent manu—facturing,and energy—efficient strategies are important factors for the industry to overcome its limitations,match the global standards of textile machinery tech—nology,and attain superior development.Currently,the industry is in the middle period of the "14th Five—Year Plan".Conducting a thorough mid—term examination of the "Guiding Opinions on the Development of China Textile Machinery Industry in the 14th Five—Year Plan"is beneficial for securing the supply chain,which must be safe and manageable.Moving forward,we ought to steer the textile machinery industry towards high—end,eco—friendly,smart and cohesive sustained growth.

CHINA TEXTILE: What is the number and scale of exhibitors? What is the participation of overseas audiences?

Gu Ping:ITMA ASIA+CITME will be held from 19 to 23 November this year,on a larger scale than the previous one,providing a complete set of intelligent technology and equip—ment solutions for the industry's technological progress and industrial development.

More than 1,500 exhibitors from 24 countries and re—gions took part in the exhibition,with an exhibition area of more than 160,000 square metres and 6 exhibition halls.Exhibitors from Italy,Germany,Switzerland,Japan,South Korea,Belgium,India and other countries showcase the lat—est technologies and products at the exhibition.

Compared to the previous exhibition,both the exhibition area and number of company have greatly increased.The number of exhibitors has risen by 15%,with over a third of them being new exhibitors this year.The rapid advancement of science and technology has led to a continuous stream—lining and refinement of enterprise products,amplifying competition and bolstering dominant market players while strengthening industrial chain coordination.Notably,this ex—hibition features an over 30% increase in the area dedicated to weaving and knitting machinery.

CHINA TEXTILE: Exhibitions are a significant aspect of the platform economy,with continuous vitality and a decisive impact on industry development.What is yourperspective on the significance of the ITMA ASIA+CITME?

Gu Ping:After the pandemic,the industry's recovery is slowly ongoing,and organizing a high—level exhibition for textile machinery is positive for fostering a dual—cycle de—velopment pattern locally and internationally.Through the exhibition platform,exhibitors and visitors are able to gain insight into the industry's trend,communicate with each other effectively,and determine their enterprise's develop—ment direction.

Over the years,we have upheld ITMA's exhibition and spread brand impact.Organizers for the exhibition have al—ways aimed to produce a high—quality exhibition that gener—ate real trade results.This objective is especially paramount during the current uncertain international society environ—ment.A number of widely recognized foreign corporations and domestic companies have registered to participate in this exhibition.

In recent years,China’s textile machinery industry has been developing gradually.For instance,compact spinning and siro spinning,single spindle detection have become es—sential options for customers when purchasing equipment.Additionally,the number of workers per 10,000 spindles can be limited to 20.Another example,currently,low—end domestic equipment can sufficiently cater to the demands of local customers,and it also holds a cost—effective edge when compared to imported products.Over time,and with technological advancements,numerous high—end domestic equipment have also made significant strides...These im—provements are strongly related to ITMA ASIA+CITME.
