1. Because it wasnt raining
因为那时候天没有下雨
Smart is a well-known smart boy. He can answer any question the others ask.
One day, Billy asked him a difficult question. Billy said,“Smart, can you answer me a question?”
Smart said, “Sure.”
Billy said, “If six children and two dogswere under an umbrella, how come none ofthem got wet?”
Smart thought it over and said, “Because it wasnt raining.”
眾所周知, 斯马特是一个聪明的男孩。他能回答别人提出的任何问题。

Mike replied immediately, “No. They said it was lemonade.”

Jack said, “My dad is the best. He can shoot an arrow, run after it, get in front of it, and catch it in his bare hands.”
John said, “No. My dad is the best. He can shoot a gun, run after the bullet, get in front of it.”
Tom said, “Your fathers are just so so! My father is the best. One night, he discovered a meteorite flying towards Earth. He jumped into the air and grabbed the meteorite with just one hand.”
杰克、约翰和汤姆都是小孩子。他们都是5岁。他们经常一起聊天。
一天下午,他们聊起谁的爸爸是最棒的。
杰克说:“我爸爸是最棒的。他会射箭,能追箭,能冲在箭前,还能徒手接住箭。”

“Dont worry,” said his dad kindly. “Heres five more for you.”
At this, Johnny cried louder than ever.
“Now what is it?” asked his dad.
“I wish Id said Id lost ten cents!”
一天,小约翰正在哭泣,他爸爸问他为什么哭。
“我丢了五美分。”约翰抽泣着说。
“别担心,”他爸爸和蔼地说,“我再给你五美分。”
听到这里,约翰哭得比此前的声音更大。
“现在又怎么了?”他爸爸问道。
“我真希望我刚才说我丢了十美分!”
