欧盟驻华代表团访渝 看好重庆畅谈合作

On May 25, Ambassador Jorge Toledo Albiñana,Head of the EU Delegation to China, led a team of 20 ambassadors of EU member states to Chongqing.During their visit, some of the ambassadors were interviewed byThe World and Chongqing,discussing cooperation between Chongqing and the EU.

Chongqing is a modern, large city with a high level of urbanization.Its achievements in infrastructure construction are impressive.We are very impressed by the figures of the EU industries established in Chongqing.In the coming years, we want to establish more platforms for exchanges and cooperation and grow our trade with China, especially when it comes to our export and investment in China, to engage in a very constructive and positive and dynamic relationship with China.

Chongqing is one of the most modern, industrialized and technology-oriented cities in China.In the context of developing the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-Hub Mega-Region, we have a large consumer market and developed infrastructure, offering vast opportunities for consumption and investment.

During this visit to Chongqing, we have come to understand that Sweden and Chongqing have many things in common, especially high-tech industries, presenting opportunities for mutual learning and exchanges.We also learned that Chongqing is a city based on industry and manufacturing, while Sweden excels in hightech innovation, where both sides can explore further cooperation.Sweden can provide innovative solutions,particularly in green transition and waste management.Chongqing is a vast city with a huge market, with a large population surpassing that of many EU countries,and it is experiencing rapid urban development.In terms of tourism, Chongqing would be a top destination for Swedish tourists as well, who like a lot of outdoor activities and who are fascinated by nature.

5月25日，欧盟驻华代表团团长、大使庹尧诲率20位欧盟成员国驻华大使访渝。访渝期间，部分大使接受了《重庆与世界》杂志专访，畅谈重庆与欧盟合作。

重庆的优势在于现代化、产业化、科技化的程度非常高，特别是在成渝地区双城经济圈建设基础上，面向庞大的人口消费市场，在高度发达的基础设施建设背景下，我们有更广泛的消费和投资空间。

I visited Chongqing 25 years ago, and now I am amazed by the remarkable transformations the city has undergone.Seeing the beautiful and spectacular infrastructure here, I believe Chongqing has become a model for urban construction and holds immense potential for further development.In recent years, the Consulate-General of Italy in Chongqing has made significant strides in fostering bilateral investment relations and facilitating closer cultural exchanges.Southwest China and Italy now witness greater exchanges and cooperation.

H.E.Bertrand Lortholary, Ambassador of France to China:Hoping to Enhance Educational Exchanges

I have been to Chongqing twice; the last visit was in 2006.Chongqing has changed a lot, and people live very comfortably here.I always want to visit Chongqing because of its unique charm.I hope this visit by the EU delegation to China can promote people-to-people exchanges between the two sides.Chongqing enjoys a long history of friendly interactions with France.I hope that more and more French companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, can get their presence in Chongqing and engage in more cooperation on various fronts.We also hope to increase educational exchanges and carry out more student exchange activities.We welcome more Chongqing students to France for further study and exchanges.

25年前我曾来过重庆，我很震惊看到重庆发生如此大的变化，看到非常漂亮壮观的基础设施建设，我认为这是城市建设当中的标杆。重庆有非常大的发展潜力，近年来意大利驻渝总领事馆做了很多工作，推动意大利与重庆之间的投资关系取得很大进步，同时增进双方文化之间的交流，整个西南片区与意大利之间的交流与合作都得到了很大的提升。

法国驻华大使白玉堂：希望能增加双方在教育方面的交流

我来过两次重庆，上一次还是2006年。重庆这座城市改变了很多，让人感到特别舒服。我被这里独特的魅力所吸引，总是想来这座城市看看，我希望通过此次和欧盟的驻华代表团访问重庆，能促进双方人文之间的交流。重庆与法国之间的交往有着悠久的历史，希望在重庆的法国企业，尤其是中小企业能越来越多，促进更多相关商业方面的合作。也希望能增加双方在教育方面的交流，开展更多两地学生互换的活动，欢迎更多的重庆学生到法国进行交流学习。
