My Favourite Book—Jane Eyre

Good books are good friends.My favorite book isJane Eyrewritten by Charlotte Brontë.The novel tells the story about a girl named Jane Eyre.She became an orphan when she was young,and she was sent to her aunt’s house.However,her aunt was very mean to her.Later she studied at Lowood School.The conditions at Lowood School were harsh,but she survived.After graduation,she was employed as a tutor by the housekeeper of Thornfield Manor.She started to support herself and never depended on anyone from then on.

In my mind,Jane Eyre is the strongest girl with a heart full of courage and love I have ever seen.Her story makes me learn how to be independent and mature（成熟）.I also teaches me to tolerate（容忍）others’ fault.

I always remember the words Jane Eyre’s friend Helen Burns comforted her when she complained about her aunt.“Life appears to me too short to spend in nursing animosity（憎恨）or registering（记录）wrongs.It is not violence that best overcomes hate—nor vengeance（报 仇）that most certainly heals injury（伤害）.” Life is a gift and don’t idle it away.Don’t let sadness take over your heart.Just stay optimistic and let the sun shine through your life.Life is but a dream,go for whatever you pursue.
