May We Have our Teacher Back? 我们可以请我们的老师回来吗？

Mr. Smith came to Churchill Primary School last week and became the new head teacher of this school. He was very strict with the students. However， he did not know all of the teachers of this school.

史密斯先生上周来到丘吉尔小学，成为这所学校的新校长。他对学生要求很严格。然而，他并不认识这所学校的所有老师。

One day， Mr. Smith was making his rounds of the school when he heard a terrible commotion coming from one of the classrooms. He rushed in and spotted one boy， much taller than the others， who seemed to be making the most noise.

一天，史密斯先生在学校里四处走动，突然听到一间教室里传来可怕的骚动声。他冲了进去，发现了一个比其他男孩高得多的男生，似乎就他发出的声音最大。

Mr. Smith was very angry. He seized the lad， dragged him to the hall， and told him to wait there until he was excused.

史密斯先生非常生气。他抓住那个小伙子，把他拽到大厅里，让他在那里等着，直到他被原谅为止。

Returning to the classroom， Mr. Smith restored order andlectured the class for half an hour about the importance of good behaviour.

回到教室后，史密斯先生恢复了班级秩序，给全班同学讲了半个小时关于良好行为的重要性。

"Now，" he said， “are there any questions？，，

At this time， one girl stood up immediately."Pleasesir，，， she asked， "may we have our teacher back now？ He has stood in the hall for half an hour and he is still standing there.55
