Textile high on the list in China’s economic report card for the first half

According to the preliminary data of GDP in the first half of 2021 released by the National Bureau of Statistics, the GDP reached 53.2167 trillion yuan, up 12.7% year on year and 5.6 percentage points lower than that in the first quarter. The two-year average growth rate was 5.3 percent, 0.3 percentage points faster than the first quarter. A spokesman for the National Bureau of Statistics said, the first half of 2021 can be described as a sustained and stable recovery with steady strengthening and high quality. Based on the part of data currently available, the textile industry has made great contributions to this report card.
