No. no. I'm not on a fairvtale movie set. The oddly shaped trees you see behind me aretotallv real! And there are 400 0f these mvsterious pine trees. here in Poland. All of them havethe same northward 90-degree bend at the base of their limb l. and have grown to be tall andseemingly unhampered2 by their C shape curves 3.

Some experts believe that the trees grew like this because of some sort of damage to the tipand along some side branches. Well some people think there's something more than nature atplay here because they are in nearly the same shape! There are a lot of theories4 about this, likesnow storms. or even intentiona15 damage to make furniture. Even the locals here haven't an ideaof how they came about. That's probably because the local town was damaged during World WarI. And some people think that a witch or wizard had something to do with these trees. How elsedo you explain 22 rows of crooked trees surrounded by completely normal trees'?
