1. in order to... 为了……

He worked very hard in order to realize his dream. 为了实现他的梦想，他学习非常努力。

2. so...that... 如此……以至于……

They were all so tired that they could do nothing but yawn. 他们太累了，除了打哈欠什么都做不了。

3. would rather... than 宁愿……也不……

He would rather listen to others than talk himself. 他宁愿听他人讲也不愿自己说。

4. not only... but also 不但……而且……

The Americans and the British not only speak the same language but also share a large number of social costums. 英国人和美国人不但语言相同，而且有很多相同的风俗习惯。

5. either... or 要么……要么……
