The Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a country with rich history and diverse culture.

越南社会主义共和国是一个历史悠久、文化多元的国家。

Vietnam shares borders with China, Laos and Cambodia. Most of the land is coastal and has many beautiful beaches. The Ha Long Bay is included on the World Heritage List. The scenery looks a lot like Guilin, and is known as Guilin on the sea.

越南与中国、老挝和柬埔寨接壤。越南的大部分国土是临海的，有很多美丽的海滩。下龙湾被列入《世界遗产名录》，那儿的风景与桂林有异曲同工之妙，被称为海上桂林。

There has been a lot of French influence on Vietnam. It can still be seen in the cuisine and architecture. One of the well-known street foods is a sandwich called Banh mi.Vietnamese food is famous for being fresh,aromatic and light.

法国对越南有很大的影响，这种影响仍然可以在食物和建筑上看到。越南著名的街头小吃之一是一种三明治，名叫越南法棍。越南的食物以用料新鲜、香味扑鼻、味道清淡而闻名。

Vietnamese coffee is also very popular.In Vietnam, coffee is typically served with ice cubes and sweetened condensed milk. It’s delicious!

越南咖啡也很受欢迎。在越南，咖啡里通常会加入冰块和甜炼乳，味道好极了！

In Northern Vietnam, we find the capital city of Hanoi. The Old Quarter in Hanoi is a great place for a walking tour. Typical French Indochina architecture and some old temples can be found there.

在越南北部，我们找到了首都河内。河内的旧城区是个步行游览的好地方，能在那儿看到典型的法式中南半岛建筑和一些古老的庙宇。

In Southern Vietnam, the most popular place is Ho Chi Minh City. It is named after the former leader. In Ho Chi Minh City, you can find the Cao Dai Temple with its colourful design and interesting history. People there worship both Guan Gong and Newton.

在越南南部，最有名的要数胡志明市了。这个城市是用前领导人的名字来命名的。在胡志明市，可以看到有多彩设计和有趣历史的曹岱庙。在这座庙里，人们既拜关公又拜牛顿。
