1、了解人们写诗的原因并初步了解五种格式比较简单的英文诗，同时学会欣赏诗歌，感受到诗的语言美，节奏美和韵律美。

2、运用本课所学诗歌知识尝试写简单的诗或诗句。

一、课前预习

Warming up

Can you recite the Chinese traditional poems according to their English translation？ 让学生利用一切可能的工具去查找尽可能多的英文诗歌翻译成中文，目的是让学生了解和欣赏英文诗歌和中文诗歌表达方式的不同，同时对英文诗歌的种类有一个初步的认识。E.g：

（一）Where a yellow river climbs to the white clouds，

Near the one city， wall among ten， thousand ，foot mountains，

A Tartar under the willows is lamenting on his flute

That spring never blows to him through the Jade Pass

（二）Who is lovelier than she？

Yet she lives alone in an empty valley.
