在日常生活中，人们常常需要了解对方的计划、打算以调整自己的活动，从而使生活更加和谐。为此，人们要思考如何诚恳、委婉地表达自己的意愿、请求，如何简洁、准确地陈述自己的观点、计划、方案，以及如何有礼貌地答复他人的请求。《考试大纲》及课标中的“计划与愿望”主题涉及的主要内容有：（1）Planning （holidays,social events,travel,further education,jobs,etc.）；（2）Organising（asking for advice/help/permission,exploring possibilities,expressing needs and wants,etc.）。

关于“计划与愿望”主题的写作常有以下几个命题角度：

1.策划一次班会；

2.打算为家人购买生日礼物；

3.制订假期旅游观光计划；

4.做好将来当老师、医生等的人生规划；

5.向老师、校长或家长寻求建议；
