CPAPD International Exchanges

Meeting with Korean Guest.

On February 26, 2019, CPAPD Secretary General An Yuejun met with Mr. Hwang Jaeho, Director of Center for Global Security Cooperation of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in South Korea and exchanged views on issues of common concern.

Meeting with Canadian Guest.

On February 27, 2019, CPAPD Secretary General An Yuejun met with Mr. Miguel Figueroa, President of Canadian Peace Congress in Beijing. Mr. An and his counterpart exchanged views on issues of common concern, including friendly exchanges and cooperation between the CPAPD and Canadian Peace Congress in the future.

Meeting with Ambassador of the Republic of Namibia to China.

On March 7, 2019, CPAPD Deputy Secretary General Tao Tao met with Mr. Elia G. Kaiyamo, Ambassador of the Republic of Namibia to China in Beijing and exchanged views on issues of common concern, including friendly exchanges and cooperation between two peoples in the future.

Scholars from European and Central Asian Countries Visits China

At the invitation of the CPAPD, 12 delegates from peace organizations and think thanks in Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan visited China from Mar. 4thto 11th. During the stay in Beijing, Vice President of the CPAPD Yu Hongjun met with the delegation. CPAPD Secretary General An Yuejun held a discussion with the scholars. The delegation also attended the seminar with scholar from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and visited Shanghai Cooperation Organization Secretariat. In addition, they visited Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and joined the seminar with scholars from Guangdong Institute for International Strategies.

CPAPD Delegation Visits Thailand, Laos and Vietnam from March 6 to 9, 2018.

In Thailand, the delegation respectively met with Dr. Bhokin Bhalakula, former President of the National Assembly, former Vice Prime Minister, the main leader of the Puea Thai Party, President of the Thai-Chinese Culture and Economy Association (TCCEA); General Surasit Thanadtang, Director of the Thai-Chinese Research Centre (TCRC); Lt. Gen. Kajohnrit Nilkamhaeng, Superintendent of the National Defense College, and had discussion with experts from the Thailand’s National Security Council, the TCCEA , the TCRC and Thammasat University.

In Laos, the delegation respectively met with Comrade Somphanh Phengkhammy, member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, President of the Committee for Peace and Solidarity of Laos; Comrade Bun Thong Divisai, member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, Secretary of the province Party Committee and Governor of Champasak and Comrade Somdy Bounkhoum, Deputy Head of the Committee for External Relations of the Central Committee, former Laos Ambassador to China, and had discussion with experts from the Committee for External Relations of the Central Committee, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Committee for Peace and Solidarity of Laos. The delegation also visited and investigated Vientiane Saysettha Development Zone jointly invested by China and Laos, and Don Sahong Dam constructed by Chinese enterprises.

In Vietnam, the delegation respectively met with Comrade Uong Chu Luu, member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, Vice- Chairman of the National Assembly, President of the Vietnam Peace Committee; Comrade Nguyen Phuong Nga, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), and Comrade Tran Dac Loi, former Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations, and had discussion with experts from the Institute for Foreign Policy and Strategic Studies and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences. In the meanwhile, the delegation also had working exchanges with the Vietnam Peace Committee, the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations and Da Nang Peace Committee.
