Pretty Pink Bike 漂亮的粉红色自行车

One hot summer day I was sitting on my porch1 with a yellow shirt and flip-flops2 to match. My hair was in two pigtails. I was dripping popsicle all over the ground.

一个炎热的夏日，我坐在门廊上，穿着一件黄色衬衫和人字拖鞋。我扎着两条辫子，融化的冰棒滴了一地。

My daddy pulled up in my uncles big black truck. He came out with a pretty purple outfit short set and the matching flip-flops.

我爸爸慢慢停下了叔叔的大黑卡车。他拿出了一件漂亮的紫色短装套装和配套的人字拖鞋。

“Oh， thats it，” I said， hoping that some other accessory would come out with that outfit.

Then my uncle came out with a PRETTY PINK BIKE. He must have spotted me staring at the PRETTY PINK BIKE and he shouted out， “Ay， this isnt for you.”

So I got mad and stormed off before he could say anything else.

I was talking to my best friend Kierra.

“Whats wrong with you？” Kierra said， very frantic3 on her pretty purple bike.

“You have a pretty purple bike and I dont，” I said， feeling jealous4.

“你有一辆漂亮的紫色自行车，可我没有，”我说，心里有点嫉妒。

“Well， ask your daddy to buy you one，” Kierra said， as she peddled5 one more time.

“好吧，让你爸爸给你买一辆呗，”凯尔拉再次怂恿道。

“He walked in the house with one but my uncle said it wasnt for me，” I said very loud and idiotic6.

“他带着一辆车走进了屋子里，但我叔叔说那不是给我的，”我说得很大声，还有点傻气。

“Well， maybe he was just kidding. Thats what my daddy did to me when he got me my own purple bike，” said Kierra very confused7.

“也许他只是在开玩笑。我爸爸送我那辆紫色自行车时也是这个套路，”凯尔拉非常困惑地说道。

“Well， Im going to ask him，” I said running off without even saying goodbye.

“好吧，我去问他，”说着，我没说再见就跑了。

Meanwhile， my dad and uncle were in the house laughing at my reaction8 towards the bike. So， I walked up and said， “Daddy， is that bike mine or what？ Because I dont have time to play with you，” I said very seriously.

与此同时，爸爸和叔叔在屋里嘲笑我对那辆自行车的反应。于是我走过去说：“爸爸，那是不是我的自行车？我没有时间和你开玩笑，”我非常严肃地说。

“Yeah， its yours. Your uncle was just playing，” he said jokingly.

“是的，是你的。你叔叔只是和你闹着玩，”他开玩笑地说。

I grabbed the bike and ran outside to try and ride it， but I couldnt， because I didnt know how.

我抓过自行车跑到外面去试骑，但我没法骑，因为我不会。

“Daddy， how can you give me a bike when I have no skills to ride it？” I said very sarcastically9.

“爸爸，你怎么能在我没有骑车技能时送我一辆自行车呢？”我非常讽刺地说道。

“I thought you knew how to ride the bike，” my daddy said laughing and joking around.

“我以为你知道如何骑自行车呢，”爸爸大笑，并以开玩笑的口吻说。

“No， you have to teach me how to ride a bike！” I said， starting to whimper10 and cry.

“我不会，你必须教我如何骑自行车！”我说，开始呜咽和哭泣。

As I tried and tried I kept falling and it got very late. My daddy said we had to go in the house. My dad put the bike in the hallway as I was going to sleep. After my dad went to sleep， I woke up and started riding the bike down the hallway. I woke up my dad and told him Id finally learned to ride the bike without his help！

我試了一次又一次，一直在摔倒，而且天很晚了，爸爸说我们得进屋了。当我要睡觉时，爸爸把自行车放在走廊里。在他睡觉之后，我醒了，开始在走廊上骑自行车。我叫醒爸爸，告诉他我终于学会在没有他帮助的情况下骑自行车了！
