◆Abstract:Hylcalosia Fischer,1967,is a small braconid genus with 18 described species from the Oriental and Pal?aearctic regions. The genus is revised using morphological characters. One species of the genus Hylcalosia Fischer (Hylcalosia leura) is newly reported from China.

1 Introduction

The subfamily Alysiinae (Hymenoptera,Braconidae) is a large and commonly collected subfamily, which contains over 2,440 described species worldwide (Yu et al.2016).The alysiine genus Hylcalosia Fischer,1967,currently contains 18 described species.Yao et al.(2019) described five new species (H.bothynis n.sp.,H.dichromata n.sp.,H.eurykephale n.sp.,H.leura n.sp.,and H.perkna n.sp.) from Thailand.Hylcalosia has no known hosts.

2 Material and methods

Specimens were collected, preserved, dehydrated, and mounted as described in Yao et al.(2015a).Specimens were examined using a Leica MZ 9.5 stereomicroscope with 25× oculars.Images were acquired using a Leica M205C digital camera stereomicroscope system and with the software Leica Application Suite v4.2.All images were further processed using various minor adjustment levels in Adobe Photoshop?,such as image cropping and rotation, adjustment of contrast and brightness levels, and background enhancement.Terminology for morphological features and setation largely follows Sharkey and Wharton (1997),as well as general terminology pertaining to Braconidae.F1,F2 etc.= first (most basal) flagellomere,etc.T1,T2 = first (most basal) tergum of the metasoma, etc. The diagnosis is based primarily on Wharton (1980) and van Achterberg (1986).

3 Taxonomy

Hylcalosia Fischer,1967:125.(Replacement name for Holcalysia Cameron,1910,not Cameron,1905).

Holcalysia Cameron,1910:6.Shenefelt,1974:993.

Type species:Holcalysia ruficeps Cameron,1910.

Hylcalosia leura Yao,2019.

Diagnosis.T1 slender,1.3×as apical width; propodeum rugose, with a strong median carina on anterior one-fourth of it,not distinctly protruding in lateral view;m-cu of fore wing postfurcal,1cu-a of fore wing postfurcal.

Material examined.1♂ Wu nv xian Bridge,Henren,Benxi,Liaoning.7-21-2012,Yingying Zhao.

Distribution.Thailand (Kamphaeng Phet); China (Liaoning).

Remarks. This specie is described by Yao (2019) with Thailand female specimens. Here we have found a male specimens in China and which belongs to Hylcalosia leura.
