Service dog Banner has a heart of gold. Not only does she help owner Whitney with her disability, but also she loves rescuing other animals in need and caring for them.
The 3⁃year⁃old Husky(哈士奇) has been together with Whitney since she was a little dog. Whitney trained Banner herself to help her and others with a variety of things. Whitney said, “We do a lot of rescue, and she is always attached to cats. Two years ago I had my first bottle baby cat that was found in a ditch, and Banner raised her. This is the first time she found something like this.”
What she found was just heartbreaking. A sealed paper box was in the woods, with 7 newborn cats inside only a day old and frozen to death. Banner led Whitney to the woods, where after opening the box Whitney took out the tiny cats, one by one. “Someone must have just put them into the paper box, closed the lid tight and left them there to die,” Whitney said in an interview. “They probably thought that no one would ever discover them. I dont even know how Banner knew they were in there. The little cats were freezing and werent meowing(貓叫).”
Since that moment, Banner hasnt left the little cats and has adopted them as if they were her own. “Im so happy now these little cats will go on to live their lives with loving families because of Banner. It warms my heart,” Whitney
said.

◆
1.Not only does she help owner Whitney with her disability, but also she loves rescuing other animals in need and caring for them.
该句为并列句,not only... but also... 时,用in need of。
2.Banner led Whitney to the woods, where after opening the box Whitney took out the tiny cats, one by one.
3.Since that moment, Banner hasnt left the little cats and has adopted them as if they were her own.
