Who's the most popular cartoon character in China right now？ It might be PeppaPig. This girl pig is the main character on the British TV show Peppa Pig. The show hasbeen on TV in 40 languages in more than 180 countries and 1）regions. It's about theeveryday lives of the Peppa's family members. The show is mainly for 2）preschoolers.But many older kids and even adults have become fans of the show as well.

“I think its popularity is partly down to it being 3）ageless， " Richard Ridings， a voiceactor who plays Peppa's dad said.

The show's stores are simple， but its humor is not too childish. Peppa Pig makesboth kids and adults laugh.

For example， in one 4）episode， Peppa is unhappy because she doesn't know howto 5）whistle. She phones her friend， Susie Sheep， to ask her if she can whistle. Susiesays she can try to do it. She succeeds on her first try！ Peppa feels even worse！ Shehangs up on her friend.

Peppa isn't perfect. But she is very real， and so are the other characters on theshow. And that makes the show quite special.

Peppa：

Peppa is 6 years old. She often wears a red dress. Her favorite thing to do is to jump in muddy puddles. She can spend all day doing this. Her favorite toy is a bear named Teddy.

George：

Mummy Pig：

Mummy Pig is a beautiful lady. She has long 7eyelashes. She takes care of her family. But she also works from home on a computer.

Daddy Pig：

比如说有一集。佩奇因为不知道怎么吹口哨而不开心。她打电话给她的朋友一小羊苏茜，问她会不会吹口哨。苏茜说她会试试看。结果她第一次就成功了！佩奇感觉更糟糕了！她挂掉了她朋友的电话。

佩奇并不是完美的。但是她和节目里其他的角色一样都很真实。而这恰恰让这个节目十分特别。

小猪佩奇家庭成员介绍：

佩奇：

佩奇六岁了。她总是穿一身红色的连衣裙。她最喜欢做的事情是在泥坑里蹦蹦跳跳。她可以一整天都玩这个。她最喜欢的玩具是一只叫泰迪的熊。

乔治：

乔治只有两岁。他穿一件蓝色的衬衫。他喜欢和他的姐姐佩奇一起玩，即使有时候佩奇会有点霸道。乔治最喜欢的是他的玩具，恐龙先生。

猪妈妈：

猪妈妈是位漂亮的女士，她的睫毛长长的。她照顾一家人，但是她也在家里通过电脑工作。

猪爸爸：

猪爸爸是一位建筑师。因为近视，他戴着眼睛。他总是十分开心也常常与佩奇和乔治玩。佩奇经常会玩爸爸的大肚腩。

1.区别everyday和every day

everyday：adj. 每天的;日常的，平常的;普通的;经常。是个形容词，可用作定语。

In the course of my everyday life， I had very little contact with teenagers.

在我的日常生活中，我很少和青少年打交道。

every day：每天;天天;日;逐日。是个名词短语，可用作状语。

People used to come and visit him every day.

人們过去每天都来拜访他。

2.辨析succeed、success和successful

succeed是动词，可作及物动词和不及物动词用。

（1）成功;继承;继任;兴旺

句型结构搭配：succeed in doing成功地做了……，成功地做某事succeed in something成功;在……方面成功;顺利完成

succeed at成功方面，在……方面成功

（2）继承;接替;继……之后

succeed to继承;继任;接着发生

success是名词，表“成功，成就;胜利;大获成功的人或事物”。successful是形容词，表“成功的;一帆风顺的”。

小猪佩奇主题乐园

《小猪佩奇》太受欢迎了，于是它的同名主题乐园于2011年开业，坐落于英国汉普郡。

游客可以在乐园里参观佩奇的家和学校，也可以像佩奇一家在节目中一样坐火车、热气球和船。乐园里的工作人员也会打扮得像节目中的人物一样，他们会问候并拥抱来参观的游客。
