重庆的夜景，媲美香港和纽约。可以说，重庆是一座越夜越美丽的城市。夜色别有味道的重庆，以万家民居灯火为背景，构成一片井然有序、错落有致、远近互衬的灯的海洋，吸引无数中外游客前来，他们在山上、屋顶、游船上，从不同的角度赏山城之夜，沉醉其中……

熙攘的夜景自古以来是国力强盛、城市繁華的象征。直辖以来，重庆一直在加强对城市外在“颜值”的谋划，对内在“品质”的提升。山城夜景日新月异的发展，已然成为重庆美丽的新名片。2018年重庆市政府出台《重庆市城市综合管理提升行动方案》，以美化夜景灯饰、提升城市照明品质作为重头戏之一，力争到2022年，将“重庆赏灯”打造成世界级的城市主题品牌。

夜景充分展示着重庆的山魂之雄、水韵之灵、人文之美。200年前，人们在江对岸欣赏重庆府的万家灯火;50年前，人们在枇杷山和鹅岭看着城市的夜晚在一天天变“靓”;今天，我们在游轮、索道上品味两江汇流处的璀璨光影。重庆的夜景像万花筒一样缤纷多彩，欣赏夜景的方式也日益多元化。

南山一棵树是观赏夜景的老牌观景地。日观重庆风貌，夜览山城美景。可纵观山水之城的地形地貌，环抱的两江，飞跨的长桥，远远近近，错落有致。

南滨路作为重庆最负盛名的风景线，有乾隆时代的“龙门皓月”“字水宵灯”等“巴渝十二景”，以及老街、老建筑，被称为重庆的“外滩”。夜幕降临，华灯初上，勾勒出高高低低的城市天际线，景致尽收眼底。
