Gu Ping elected as President of China Textile Machinery Association

On April 3rd， the Eighth Member Congress & the Eighth Council of China Textile Machinery Association was held in Suzhou.

Gao Yong， Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary-General of China National Textile and Apparel Council， Sun Xiaoyin， Director of the Human Resources Department of China National Textile and Apparel Council， and nearly 300 representatives of Vice-Chairmen， Standing Directors and Directors of the 7th China Textile Machinery Association attended the meeting. The morning meeting was chaired by Wang Shutian， President of the 7th Council of China Textile Machinery Association.

Gao Yong summarized the three stages of the development of China Textile Machinery Association. Gao Yong pointed out that， from 1998 to the present， 20 years have passed. In these 20 years， the textile machinery association has developed rapidly and strengthened.

Xu Lin， Vice President and Secretary-General of the 7th Council of China Textile Machinery Association， made a report on the work of the 7th Council of China Textile Machinery Association. He said that the 7th Council had been elected since March 2014. Over the past five years， Chinas textile machinery industry has occupied nearly 80% of the domestic market， and the export volume of textile machinery has exceeded USD 3 billion. The healthy development of the textile machinery industry has greatly improved the status and voice of Chinas textile machinery industry worldwide.

After on-site election， the list of honorary president， president， vice-president and secretary-general of the Eighth Council of China Textile Machinery Association was published： Wang Shutian， Honorary President of China Textile Machinery Association， Gu Ping， President of China Textile Machinery Association， Li Yi， Chief Engineer of China Textile Machinery Association， Liu Song， Zhao Xiaogang and Hou Xi， Vice-President of China Textile Machinery Association， Cong Zheng， Secretary-General of China Textile Machinery Association， Li Xueqing， Deputy Engineer of China Textile Machinery Association， Sun Shaobo， Deputy Secretary-General of China Textile Machinery Association.

After being elected， Gu Ping said that China Tex-tile Machinery Association has gone through 29 years. It inherits the spirit of hard struggle of the older generation of spinners. In the past 40 years of reform and opening， Chinas textile industry has made tremendous progress. Last year， the main business income of enterprise above designated size of textile industry was more than 5.3 trillion yuan， and textile fiber processing volume accounted for 50% of the worlds total. Since 2011， the main business income of enterprises above designated size has exceeded 100 billion yuan， and the sales volume of the textile machinery industry accounts for about 50% of the worlds total. Regardless of the textile industry and the textile machinery industry， the status and importance as well as the huge market capacity are very significant. He pointed out that the textile industry is strong when the textile machinery is strong. At present， Chinese economy has entered a stage of high-quality development， which is a challenge and an opportunity. The deep integration of big data， Internet of Things， artificial intelligence and other technologies， global resource sharing and so on will all lay a deep impression on the development of textile machinery industry.

Liu Song， Vice President of China Textile Machinery Association， made a report on the economic operation of the textile machinery industry in 2018. He said that the external situation faced by Chinas textile industry in 2018 was generally complex and the pressure of development increased. The whole industry adheres to the general tone of steady progress， actively deepens the structural reform of the supply side， vigorously promotes high-quality development， and focuses on resolving external risks. He pointed out that in 2018， China textile machinery industry generally ran smoothly. Supported by macro-economy and the overall smooth operation of the textile industry， the upgrading of the textile machinery industry was further promoted， and the export volume reached a record high， but the growth rate of the industry showed a slowing trend.

Zhu Baolin， chairman of China Textile Machin- ery and Technology Import and Export Co.， Ltd.， made a report on “Analysis and consideration of main domestic and foreign market of textile machinery at present”. He said that in 2018， under the situation of global economic growth slowing down and textile industry growth slowing down， export market performance is relatively stable. The demand of South Asia and Southeast Asia market reflects the trend of international transfer of textile industry. Domestic textile machinery enterprises are more vigorous in exploring international market， and the industry competition is fiercer.

Li Yi， Chief Engineer of China Textile Machinery Association， made the Report on the Development of Science and Technology in Textile Machinery Industry. He gave an overview of the industrys technological development in 2018， the construction of the annual technological innovation system， and the achievements of the annual technological innovation.

He pointed out that， in 2018， Chinas textile machinery industry will continue to actively promote technological innovation and structural adjustment， promote enterprises to enhance product development capacity and equipment manufacturing level， strive to improve the manufacturing quality and reliability of domestic textile machinery， and accelerate the development of textile equipment to intelligent and high-end.
