“But… but… but Mr Slow didn’t even run! Look, he hasn’t finished yet!”cried Mr Rush, who could not believe what he’d just heard.

“可……可是……可是慢吞吞先生根本没有跑！看，他到现在都没到达终点！”匆忙先生喊道。他简直不敢相信自己的耳朵。

“Exactly,” said the King. “He walked. What could be sillier than entering a running race and then not running! And here he comes now!”

“一点儿不错，”国王说，“他是走着的。还有什么事情能比参加赛跑比赛却根本不跑更荒唐呢！瞧，他过来了！”

Poor Mr Rush hadn’t realised that the event was called the ‘silliest’ 100 metre sprint.

“But… but that’s nonsense,” said Mr Rush.“Exactly,” said Mr Slow. “Complete nonsense.”

And he stepped forward to collect his cup.A tea cup!

可怜的匆忙先生，他根本没意识到这项比赛叫做“最荒唐的100 米赛跑”。

“可是……可是这太荒唐了。”匆忙先生说。

“一……点……儿……不……错，”慢吞吞先生说，“绝……顶……荒……唐。”

说完，他上前去领奖杯—一个茶杯！
