A few days ago, MIIT released operation status of batter industry from January to May. Based on the data from MIIT, the yield of lithium battery during the first 5 months was 5.04 billion batteries, presenting a YOY growth of 6.3%. From January to May, among all principal products in battery manufacturing industry, the yield of lithium battery during the first 5 months was 5.04 billion batteries, presenting a YOY growth of 6.3%; the yield of lead-acid battery was 64.511 million VA, presenting a YOY growth of -0.5%; the yield of primary batteries (non-button) was 18.03 billion batteries, presenting a YOY growth of -9.0%. In May, the yield of lithium battery in our country was 1.13 billion batteries, presenting a YOY growth of 7.2%; the yield of lead-acid battery was13.679 million VA, presenting a YOY growth of -3.4%; the yield of primary batteries (non-button) was 3.95 billion batteries, presenting a YOY growth of -6.9%. From January to May, 2019, the operating income of above-scale battery manufacturing companies reached RMB 277.19 billion, presenting a YOY growth of 16.0%, boasting total profit of RMB 10.39 billion (YOY growth of 29.1%).
