Hubei: Hangte 16000-ton Lightweight Aluminum Magnesium Alloy Project Is About To Be Put Into Operation

For Hubei Hangte lightweight automotive chassis project, machining workshop is under main steel structure construction and main construction of foundry has been completed.

The project covers an area of 104 mu and boasts a total investment of RMB 600 million. Lightweight aluminum magnesium alloy chassis parts R&D center, digital manufacturing plant and supporting infrastructure are planned to be constructed. What’s more, the project will constructed 7 automatic low-voltage foundry production lines, 2 automatic gravity foundry production lines and supporting units and production lines; it will also purchase experiment and testing equipment

According to responsible person, manufacturing equipment that is worth RMB 100 million has been ordered from oversea and two low-voltage foundry units are on their way from Germany to Shenzhen Customs.

After the completion, the plant is mainly used for the production of aluminum magnesium foundry goods with high toughness for new energy auto. It has lighter weight and stronger structure compared to traditional foundry goods. Being a kind of high-tech part, it is directly supplied to top global EV brand, Tesla. The construction kicked off on August, 20 last year. Within just 4 months, the plant has earned its first pattern.

After the completion in this February, it is estimated to boast annual capacity of 16000 tons of lightweight foundry goods of aluminum magnesium alloy chassis and achieve annual revenue of RMB 600 million and tax of RMB 78 million.
