Forty years ago, the first thunderclap of spring kicked off the reform and opening up policy.

The past four decades witnessed the most exciting development in Liangjiang New Area. People in Bayu joined the bandwagon of reform and opening up, making a string of breakthroughs and discoveries, thereby facilitating Chongqing's prosperity.

The past four decades stood as a monument to Chongqing's fastest economic growth. In addition, residents who experienced dramatic changes were also disproportionately benefited over past four decades. With economic highlands and radiation channels, this inland mountain city, Chongqing, has grown into China's central city.

Over past four decades, Chongqing moved forward with burdens. Step by step, Chongqing has become an integral part of China's economic structure and started to play its essential role of economic center in the upper reaches of Yangtze river. It has become the pioneer of China's reform and opening up policy as well as a vibrant city with its own charm.

Standing at a new historic starting point, Chongqing is well-prepared to stay committed to pursuing its glorious mission, cherishing time and making progress.
