Cotton Council International (CCI) teams up with two Chinese and Western denim design masters, namely Chen Wen and Adriano Goldschmied to launch the 2018/19 Autumn/Winter Denim Fashion Collection during China International Fashion Week at The Beijing Hotel on March 28th, 2018.
This denim fashion show creates a unique kaleidoscope of expression in fabric and denim design by combining todays fashion trends with U.S. cotton-rich knitted fabric and woven denim fabrics from Heng Liang and Advance Denim - two leading denim fabric manufacturers in China - with the technological innovation of SolucellAir? and traditional Chinese Miao embroidery. Through “Life Meets Art”, “East Meets West” and “Technology Meets Fashion”, the collection interprets passion and inspiration and showcases new highlights of denim garments integrating Chinese and Western elements.
As a chief designer of the collection, Mr. Chen Wen integrates the beauty of his paintings and traditional Miao embroidery into denim design, and his passionate strokes and colors infuse a new vitality into the garments. “I feel deeply indebted to COTTON USA, who has generously provided this platform for the two designers to work together with COTTON USAs licensees,” said Mr. Chen Wen, “This platform will not only promote close collaboration between upstream manufacturers with fashion designers, but also showcase denim fashion that combines art, technology and innovation through the creativity of designers.”
