FANCIFUL CELEBRATIONS

Dancers perform at a grand event held to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of south Chinas Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in Nanning， capital of Guangxi， on December 10.

Wang Yang， member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China Central Committee Political Bureau and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese Peoples Political Consultative Conference， led a delegation to attend the festivities.

After 60 years of hard work， Guangxi has seen remarkable changes in both urban and rural areas， with the once impoverished and backward region turning into an area of prosperity and openness.
