Our Youth,

It’s time for a wake-up call,

It’s time for a change.

We live in a world

Where it’s OK to bottle ourselves up and put on a disguise

We’re taught to love who we are

But at the same time hide what makes us special

Where it’s OK to be like others

To strive for[争取]perfection

To say “I wanna be just like the people on TV”

Not “I wanna be me and no one else”

The quality of your words is no longer considered

Until your words become like others

Wars are being fought around the world

When the real war is within us

We lose the fight

When we bow down and say “I no longer will be unique”

Instead we become

Voiceless ordinary specks[微粒]of dust just existing in the lonely desert

Our Youth,

It’s time for a wake-up call,

It’s time for a change.
