一 功能口语

1 表达意愿

在英美国家，人们通常会在不涉及个人隐私的情况下，较为坦率地说出自己做某事的打算、意图、安排与希望等。

常考口语

What does her mother want to be? 她妈妈想要做什么工作？She wants to be a policewoman.她想当警察。

What would you like? 你想要点什么？

I would like some noodles.我想要些面条。

1.询问别人有何意愿、打算的常用句型：

What will you do at the weekend? 周末你会做什么？

What are you doing this evening? 今晚你打算做什么？

What are you going to do? 你打算做什么？

Are you thinking of meeting friends? 你打算见见朋友吗？2.回答别人的询问或表达自己的意愿常用如下句式：

I’m going to...我打算……

I will...我会……

I’d like to...我想要……

I want (hope) to...我想（希望）……

I think I’ll...我想我会……

背景知识

1 ) 用“would like/love”比用“want/hope”更加委婉、客气。

2 ) “wish”也常用来表示意愿，但它所表达的愿望实现起来是有一定难度的；“hope”常表达可以实现的愿望。试比较“I hope to visit China next month.（我想下个月去趟中国。）”和“I wish I could fy to the moon by spaceship one day.（但愿有一天我能乘着宇宙飞船飞上月球。）”。

3 ) 在“I don’t think I will...”的句型中，从句的否定形式转移到了主句上，意为“我想我不会……”。如：I don’t think I’ll wait for him.（我想我不会等他。）。

2 评论事物的表达法

对事物的评论有多种表达方式。下面我们就来谈谈自己喜爱的东西，并试着给出理由。

Why do you like English? 你为什么喜欢英语？

Because it’s very useful.因为英语很有用。

What do you think of the movie? 你觉得这部电影如何？

Very interesting/boring/exciting.非常有趣/无聊/刺激。

背景知识

“What do you think of…?”的意思是“你觉得……怎么样？”。此类句型为“What do/does+主语+think of…?”，用来询问他人对某事物或某人的印象、评价和看法等。

另外，“What do you think of…?”的句型可以用“How do you like…?”的句型替换。

二 口语一点通

1 That’s out.这不行。

分析 本句用于表示不赞成对方所提出的建议，或者对方所说的话，认为若按照对方所说的去做便会出现问题或于事无补等等。如：

— Is this your ruler? 这是你的尺子吗？

— Yes, it is.是的。

— May I use it? 我可以用一下吗？

— No, that’s out.It’s broken.不，不行了。它坏了。

2 I’m broke.我身无分文。

分析 “I’m broke.”指“破产、身无分文”，或现金很少；“broke”在此作形容词用。注意不可说成“I’m broken.”。如：

— Do you want to go shopping with me? 你想和我一起去购物吗？— No.I’m broke this week.不去了。这周我把钱花光了。

3 So so.一般般。

分析 当别人问你“某某事情怎么样”时，你对别人所提到的事情并没有很强烈的兴趣；或对别人所提出的问题，你很难说出其好坏时，就可以用“So so.”来回答。如：

— How about going swimming tomorrow? 明天去游泳怎么样？— So so.一般般，不是很想去。

4 Same here.我也一样。

分析 在外面就餐时，如果你朋友点的东西正好和你想点的一样，你就可以直接说“Same here.”。如：

— I’m having a cake.What would you like? 我要一个蛋糕。你要点什么？— Same here.我也一样。

5 Pretty good.相当不错。

分析 这个句子一般用于对别人的问候、关心等表示肯定的答复，意为“不错，相当棒”。其与“Very well.”相似，只不过“Pretty good.”更多用于口头表达中。如：

— How are you? 你好吗？

— I’m fne, thanks.And you? 我很好，谢谢。你呢？— Pretty good.不错啊。
