一次充满诗意的“印记”

葡萄牙艺术家亚历山大·法图以墙为布、以钻为笔的创作,于6月30日至7月23日呈现在由中央美术学院美术馆、中央美术学院壁画系主办的“印记”——亚历山大·法图作品展中。此番来到北京,他延续了从2007年以来开始创作的《划过表面》系列作品在墙面上进行视觉叙事创作的线索,形成“印记”展中的特殊装置——这组作品由70幅人像组成的“墙面”,每幅人像都雕刻成伫立的单个结构——这次展览成为一次重要的陈述来努力拓展这套系列作品背后的基本条件:与城市来对话的行动本身就是最基本的材质,同时集中于双向塑造的概念。

The Portuguese artist Alexandre Farto (Aka Vhils) is famous for his unique creation on the canvas of walls and with his drill as his brush. Such art creation was witnessed in the exhibition titled “Imprint” organized by Art Museum of Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) and Mural Painting Department of CAFA from June 30 till July 23. In this event in Beijing, this bold artist continued his typical visual narration on walls along the clue from his series Scratching the Surface project in 2007. the exhibited set of works consisted of walls of 70 carved figures and each figure was presented in an independent way, and thus became a particular installation. As an important narration and a dialogue with cities, this exhibition intended to highlight its basic condition—wall, the very fundamental substance of a city, and focus on the concept of two-way creation.
