Chinalco Signed Strategic Cooperation Agreement With Zibo City

On August 21, at the Meeting for Supporting Green Development & Integrated Development of Chinalco Shandong Company in Zibo City, Chinalco signed strategic cooperation agreement with Zibo City. Ge Honglin, Chairman and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of Chinalco; Liu Jianping, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager of Chinalco; and Wang Hao, Secretary of CPC Zibo Municipal Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress; Zhou Lianhua, Deputy Secretary of CPC Zibo Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor; Song Bin, President of Baosteel Development Co., Ltd; Wu Hongdao, Chairman of Beijing Shenwu Group, attended the meeting, and together laid foundation stone for the construction start of Chinalco Qilu Industrial Park.

Ge Honglin thanked CPC Zibo Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government for long time ongoing vigorous support to Chinalco Shandong Company in reform and development, and indicated Chinalco would further deepen government-enterprise cooperation and transition development, quicken the pace of consolidation, enhancement, and expansion. Chinalco will give full support to cooperation between Shandong Aluminum and Zibo City. It is hoped both sides will make concerted efforts, display high level of cohesion, make joint progress, let the “gear” of cooperation run faster, speed up industrial expansion, and achieve win-win; it is hoped all officers and employees of Shandong Aluminum will regard today’s meeting as an opportunity, continue to make extraordinary endeavor, constantly accelerate enterprise development, in order to make joint efforts for fulfilling value-adding of the nation, efficiency increase of the enterprise, and additional income of employees.

Wang Hao said Chinalco Shandong enterprise is China’s first aluminum oxide production base, for which it is acclaimed as the “Cradle of China’s Aluminum Industry”, and has made important contributions to Zibo’s economic and social development. This time the serial strategic cooperation agreement between Zibo City and Chinalco marks a key strategic move for promoting enterprise and region integrated development, it is hoped both sides will take advantage of this cooperation as the opportunity, further innovate cooperation thinking approach, expand cooperation fields, strive to achieve development with multiple winners. Governments at all levels in Zibo City must treat integrated development with Chinalco Shandong Company as a key measure for constructing the city through developing powerful industry, concentrate advantageous resources, vigorously push forward key projects and park zone construction. Chinalco Qilu Industrial Park must be built with high standard planning, high standard positioning, and high standard construction, it must target at world top-class level, borrow successful experience of out-of-town projects, follow marketized requirements to scientifically set up management organizations, focus on building industrial height with outstanding features & advantages, strong competitiveness, and domestically and internationally leading standards. Everyone must give full support to construction of the key projects of Chinalco Shandong Company, actively make study and help solve contradictions and problems restraining development of Chinalco Shandong Company, so as to create superior environment for enterprise development.

Wang Quanjia, General Manager of Shandong Aluminum Company, introduced enterprise development info and investment projects in the “Thirteenth Five Year Plan” period, he said Shandong Aluminum would closely revolve around Chinalco’s big development strategy, blend into big regional development, create an upgraded version of transition, and construct big development pattern. Through key measures of building world top-class aluminum-based new material industrial base, practicing green development, developing circular economy of “Three Wastes” overall utilization, creating Chinalco Qilu Industrial Park, building “Chinalco Heavy Industry”, and constructing Chinalco vocational education group, it intends to double its size, enable annual sales income to reach 20 billion yuan, in order to make its due contribution to Chinalco’s efforts to build world top-class enterprise with international competitiveness.

During the meeting period, Ge Honglin and Wang Hao jointly unveiled the plaque for the setup of Chinalco Shandong Co., Ltd. Liu Jianping and Zhou Lianhua together signed strategic cooperation agreement between Chinalco and Zibo Municipal People’s Government; Wang Quanjia along with Zibo Vice Mayor Zhuang Ming, and chief persons of Zhangdian District and Zichuan District together signed cooperation agreement for setup of Chinalco Qilu Industrial Park Development co., Ltd between Shandong Aluminum Company and Zibo Municipal People’s Government, Zhangdian District People’s Government, and Zichuan District People’s Government.
