The Animals’ Migration

“Survival of the fittest”， the magical nature filtrates lives， arranges thoughtfully many magnificent migrations of the animals. They ignore the torments of exhaustion and illness， as well as the threaten of natural enemies， perform soul-stirring scenes while fighting against the time， distance and even disasters， they trace out wonderful pictures concern with the life lasting. In some ways， migration is both life and survival， development and competition for animals. It makes life a great travel ongoing every moment. Life is the magical choice of nature， it holds in awe and veneration naturally in front of the nature. Although in the face of hardship for survival， the animals still comply with， pursue and enjoy the nature， the epic migration is full of respect for the earth.

The monarch butterflies of America migration from the south of Canada to the middle of Mexico， more than 5000 kilometers in distance. They breed during the migration， and only the forth and the fifth generations can reach the destination. The huge herd of shorthorns marches 2900 kilometers， crossing the equator of eastern Africa， pursuing the rainwater and grasslands nourish their lives. The South American green turtles cross the Atlantic in groups， and reach the Ascension Island to breed their next generation， their distance of migration exceeds 2000 kilometers. The salmons swim along the US-Canada border for several months back to the river where they were born， they lay eggs there and die， the whole journey is more than 3000 kilometers. The animals in migration keep their fiery concentrations， struggle to rush to the destinations driven by the genetic instinct. They never retreat nor feel depressed although face the challenge of life and death， this phenomenon is so splendid and systematical that people are shocked and attracted by it.

In the chain of life concerned with the earth， animals migration is a key link， and a key factor forms the ecological balance. People also have experienced countless big migrations during evolution. In the face of fickle natural environment， animals search for their homes by experiences and bravery， while people create their beautiful homeland by wisdom and industry. However， as peoples abilities of changing the nature improve continually， we build dams on large scale， build expressways and railways， graze land， exploit mineral products. All these projects have influenced the animals migrations， causing some animals facing the imminent danger. Therefore， under the guidance of the scientific outlook of development， paying attention to the ecological civilization construction， listening to and respecting the sound of nature， making all the lives on the earth coexist harmoniously should be our target of struggle.
