VMWare和Ethereal在网络操作系统教学改革中的应用

摘要：VMWare是目前主流的建设网络虚拟实验室软件，而Ethereal是主流网络协议分析软件。在单机环境下通过VMWare搭建虚拟网络实验室，然后在此平台上运行Ethereal，进而分析各种协议的工作机制。对于帮助学生学习网络服务器的组建配置方法以及理解网络协议的工作过程具有重要的指导作用。

Application of VMWare and Ethereal on the teaching reform of Network Operation System

Abstratct: VMWare is a mainly software used to construct virtual laboratory at present. Ethereal is popular analysis software for network protocol. The paper puts forward such a view that VMWare is used to construct a virtual laboratory platform under a single computer envi? ronment, runs Ethereal analysis software, in order to analyze the working mechanism of varied network protocols. The method of combina? tion of VMWare with Ethereal has an important guiding role, which helps students learn configuration method of network operation serv? ers and understand the working process of network protocols.

通過以上实例，我们已经看到了网络虚拟实验环境和抓包软件的结合在课程学习过程中所具有的重大作用。通过学习和使用这两种网络工具，学生可以在实验室、宿舍方便地学习网络服务器的配置方法以及深入理解相关协议的工作机制，为以后的学习和实践打下坚实的基础。
