NDRC Approves Copper Production Capacity Expansion of Yuxi Mining

On September 28, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) revealed on its official website that in August-September this year, it approved 2 copper exploitation projects with production capacity expansion of approximately 160,000 tons/year.

The 2 projects are the Mining Project of the Western Section of Yuxi Mining Company Dahongshan Copper Mine and the Duobaoshan Copper Mine Project of Heilongjiang Duobaoshan Copper Company.

Of the projects, the Dahongshan project is located in the city of Yuxi, Yunnan Province, and has a designed daily underground mining volume of 6,000 tons and an annual output of 42,500 tons of copper concentrate (including 10,630 tons of copper) at a grade of 25%. The main constructions cover underground mining,backfilling station, waste rock pile and utilities on the ground.

The Duobaoshan Copper Mine Project is located in Nenjiang County in the Heilongjiang of Heihe, with designed annual ore processing capacity of 7.5 million tons, an annual output of copper concentrate of 117,600 tons (including copper 29,400 tons) and electro-deposited copper amounting to 3,000 tons. The main constructions cover open-pit mining, dressing,smelting and supporting system.
