Yunnan Copper Industry Group Invested Nearly 8 billion Yuan in Diqing, Capable of Annual Production of 80,000 tons of Copper Concentrate

Recently, six provincial level enterprise group corporations including Yunnan Copper Industry Group, Kunming Steel Group, and Yunnan Tin Minerals Group together signed “Strategic Cooperation Agreement” with the Government of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Kunming.

It has been learned that, Diqing Prefecture is one of the top ten mineral resource enriched regions in the nation. Since 2003, Yunnan Copper Industry Group and its subsidiaries had one after another entered Diqing Prefecture for development and construction, up till now there are five already completed projects or projects still under construction, all of which focused their business on the prospecting, mining and dressing of copper mines. Wherein, the Yangla Copper Mine of Yunnan Diqing Mineral Industry Development Co., Ltd has been completed,this year its production of copper concentrate ore will top 10,000 tons mark. Projects now under prospecting or construction also include the copper mine of Yunnan Diqing Non Ferrous Metal Development Co., Ltd, Xuejiping Copper Mine of Shangri-la County Hongxin Mineral Industry Co., Ltd, Shangri-la Tongchanggou Copper Multi Metal Mine, Weixi County Dabaoshan Copper Mine. These five projects involve a budget total investment of nearly 8 billion yuan, and can develop an annual production capacity of 80,000 tons of copper concentrate ore, and achieve annual sales income of over 3 billion yuan, and contribute scope of loss, and shutdown or switching of production lines etc, China’s battery enterprises still need to intensify efforts to build up strength, safeguard growth, and seek strategies and markets suitable for the development of each enterprise.
