Jiangxi Copper Lead Zinc Smelting Project with an Investment of Nearly 5 billion yuan Started Construction in Hukou

Recently, Jiangxi Copper Group Lead Zinc Smelting Project, a key construction project of Jiangxi Province’s “Ten, Hundred, Thousand Project” (referring to the plan to have a number of leading enterprises with annual sales topping 1 billion yuan, a number of enterprise groups with annual sales topping 10 billion yuan, and a number of industrial parks with annual main business income topping 50 billion yuan, and two leading industries with annual main business income topping 100 billion yuan by 2010),with a total investment of 5 billion yuan, and Phase I investment of nearly 3 billion yuan,started full scale construction in Jinshawan Industrial Park, Hukou County.

Upon completion and launching into production, this Project can produce 200,000 tons of electrolytic lead, 200,000 tons of electrolytic zinc, 560,000 tons of sulfuric acid and other products each year, and realize 10 billion yuan in annual sales income, and 740 million yuan profit. It is expected to be completed and launched into production in 2011.
