You are what you eat, at least according to theChinese. This simple concept has complex, ancient - and agricultural - origins.Followed by farmers since time immemorial,Chinas traditional lunar calendar is dividedinto 24 sections, each marking a particularseasonal change. Fluctuations in temperature, dry and rainy periods, and growing cycles are alldemarcated to correspond with these solar terms(referred to as jieqi).
