attending one of Chinas most prestigious institutions of higher learning,peking university (pKu), is a dream for the vast majority of Chinas highschool graduates. on november 16, 2009, the university released a list of39 high schools across the country whose principals have been recognizedas being allowed to recommend their students to it for preferentialadmission status. the listed schools are considered the best middleschools in their areas.
