The com pany has com p leted the firststage ofachieving EV-DO Rev.B and adop ted 3-carrierbund ling technology,w ith each carrierhaving a bandw id th of1.25MHz.Compared w ithmature commercialEV-DO Rev.A,whatZTE's EV-DO Rev.B does is only upg rading EV-DO Rev.A's software, with no add itionalhardware equipment required. Both ZTE's EV-DO Rev.A and Rev.B adop tidenticalbaseband chipset.
ZTE p lans to commercialize its EV-DO Rev.B system in Q3 2009,reaffirm ing its lead ing position in EV-DO technology development. In future,EV-DO Rev.B can bund le up to a maximum of15 carriers,w ith a download rate of73.5Mb/s and an up load rate of27Mb/s.The unique features ofEV-DO Rev.B inc lude allocating flexib le bandw id th and offering betterQoS,hence enhancing userexperience.
There are now more than 105m illion EV-DO users worldw ide.To date,ZTE has estab lished 70 EV-DO networks inmore than 60 countries, inc lud ing China, the United States,Czech,Poland,India and Indonesia.
