1. How much are these pants? 这些裤子多少钱?
(1)要点精讲:
how much 在句中用来提问价钱,相当于句型:Whats the price of…?回答时用Its/Theyre+价格。如:
How much is your new book?=Whats the price of your new book?
你的新书多少钱?
(2)考点链接:
how much可作定语,修饰不可数名词,而how many修饰复数名词,译成“多少”。如:
How much water is there in the bottle? 瓶子里有多少水?
How many students are there in your class? 你们班里有多少学生?
2. Can I help you? 你要买什么?
(1)要点精讲:
该句是服务行业的工作人员招待顾客,提供帮助的礼貌用语,不同的语言环境可译出不同的含义。如在饭店,该句可译为“你想吃什么”;在商店,它的意思是“你想买什么商品”。还可用May I help you? What can I do for you?等来表示客气和礼貌,回答时可说Id like…/I want…等。

①help“帮助”作动词讲时构成句式help sb.(to) do sth. /help sb. with sth. “帮助某人做某事”。如:
I usually help my little sister do her homework.
我经常帮我妹妹做作业。
②help也可用作名词,意为“帮助”,一般不可数。如:
I need some help. 我需要一些帮助。
3. Come and see for yourself at Huaxing clothes store.
亲自到华星衣店看一看。
(1)要点精讲:“for+反身代词”意为“亲自、独自”,相当于“(all) by+反身代词”。如:
Do it for yourself.=Do it by yourself. 你自己做吧。
(2)考点链接:
come and buy “来买”,and常常连接两个动作相随的动词,后一个动词是前一个动词的目的或结果。如:
Go and see. 去看一看。
4. Ill take it. 我要把它买下。
(1)要点精讲:
当认为商品合适,决定购买时,常用此句。口语中经常用take, have或get来代替buy。
(2)考点链接:
用在句型It takes sb. some time to do中take指花时间。如:
It takes me three hours to do some housework.
我花了三小时做家务。

(1)要点精讲:
when意为“什么时候,何时”,它引导的疑问句可以用来对年、月、日及时间进行提问。如:
——When do you get up every day?你每天什么时候起床?
——At seven. 七点。
(2)考点链接:
when连接一个陈述句,可用在动词之后或一个句子的前面或后面,说明主句的时间,分别称作宾语从句或状语从句。如:
I lived in this village when I was a boy.
当我是一个孩子时,住在这个村子。
2. My birthday is October tenth. 我的生日是10月10日。
(1)要点精讲:
英语日期的表达与汉语不同。英语表达的顺序为月、日、年,因此2006年11月8日就可以写成November 8th, 2006, 还可表示为November eighth, 2006。另外,也可以写成日、月、年,8th November, 2006, 即the eighth of November, 2006。在朗读时,月份一般直接用英语读出,日则读成“the+序数词”,序数词前的 the和序数词的词尾可以省略,但读时不能省略。
(2)考点链接:
①读年份时,一般分为两个单位来读,前两个数为一个单位,后两个数为一个单位。如1982年读作nineteen eighty-two, 2000年读成two thousand, 2001年则读成two thousand and one。
②询问“今天是几月几日”时,用句型:Whats the date today?
③日前用介词on,月份、年份之前用介词in。
④月份、星期的第一个字母要大写,如January, Tuesday等。
3. How old are you? 你多大了?
(1)要点精讲:
此句型用来询问对方的年龄,回答时用基数词。如:
——How old are you? 你多大了?
——Im sixteen. 我十六岁。
(2)考点链接:
how经常和一些形容词、副词构成常用复合特殊疑问词,如:how long(多长)、how much(多少)、how soon(多久以后)、how often(多久一次)、how far(多远)等。
4. My brothers birthday is January 1st. 我哥哥的生日是一月一日。
(1)要点精讲:
此处my brothers birthday表示“哥哥的生日”,在有生命的名词后加s, 意为“……的”,在英语语法中叫做名词所有格。如:
Lilys desk. 莉莉的桌子。
Childrens books. 孩子们的书。
(2)考点链接:
①以s结尾的复数名词加“‘”,表示“……的”。如:Teachers Day 教师节。
②名词前用所有格时表示两者有所属关系,如果表示类别或特征,就在名词前放名词原形。如:a boys bag 一个男孩的书包,a boy student一个男学生,Womens Day 妇女节, Mid-autumn Day中秋节。
